Are MicroNav components energy efficient?

MicroNav interface solutions, which use Interlink Electronics' patented Force Sensing Resistor technology, use only a small fraction of the energy required by other capacitive controls. Further, MicroNav components are passive, drawing power only when in use; while capacitive solutions typically require power continuously.

Do MicroNav interface solutions require a dedicated microprocessor?

No. Micronav interface sensors typically use the host device main microprocessor allowing a cost-down solution in a reduced development cycle. Firmware integration is fully supported by our MicroNav sales engineering and firmware engineering teams.

What interface functionality do MicroNav solutions provide?

MicroNav interface solutions are extremely durable in many cases having tested lifetimes that exceed those of the host device itself. Typical tested lifetimes of MicroNav sensor solutions range between 1-2 million actuations.
