Patented Force Sensing Resistor technology from Interlink Electronics provides sensor-based interface capabilities for a wide variety of products - from home gaming controllers to satellite-guided agricultural machinery. For more than 15 years, Interlink has used FSR technology to create innovative custom solutions for industry-leading companies like Microsoft, IBM, Sony and many others. We offer both custom FSR products that perfectly match the unique interface requirements of specific applications - and a range of standard FSR products for more basic "touch sensitive" applications.
Force Sensing Resistors™ (FSR™) are robust, polymer thick film (PTF) devices that exhibit a decrease in resistance when increased pressure is applied to the surface of the sensor. This force sensitivity is optimized for use in human touch control of electronic devices such as automotive electronics, medical systems and industrial PCs. FSRs are not a load cell or strain gauge controls, though they have many similar properties. They are appropriate for qualitative rather than precision measurements and are used by companies such as Varian, Baxter, Snap-On and Siemens. |
The 400 FSR™ is a single-zone Force Sensing Resistor™. It has a 4 mm (0.16") diameter active area and is has solder tabs for the connection. Both male and female solder tab versions are available. $75 Minimum Order. |
The 402 FSR™ has a 12.7 mm (0.5") diameter active area and is has solder tabs for the connection. Both male and female solder tab versions are available. $75 Minimum Order. |
The 406 FSR™ has a 38.1 mm (1.5" ) square active area and is has solder tabs for the connection. Both male and female solder tab versions are available. $75 Minimum Order. |
The 408 FSR™ has a 5.08 mm (0.2") wide with a length of 609.22 mm (23.985") active area and is has solder tabs for the connection. Both male and female solder tab versions are available. $75 Minimum Order. |
This kit comes with four each of the FRS™ 400, 402, 406, and 408 sensors (round 0.2", round 0.5", square 1.5", and strip 24" x 0.2" respectively), an assortment of overlays and adhesives, and FSR™ Integration Guide.
This is a great package for testing and learning about FSR™ technology, and experimenting with your new design. |
